FORGIVENESS

Forgiveness,  One of the most widely misunderstood doctrines of Scripture. It is not to be confused with humans forgiveness that merely remits a penalty or charge. Divine forgiveness is one of the most complicated and costly undertakings, demanding complete satisfaction to meet the demands of God's  outraged holiness. I have a situaton in my life where I am having a hard time forgiving someone, my flesh tells me oh if you forgive him, it will be like you are letting him get away with all the nasty, uncaring, things he has done. But it was brought to my attention that that person didn't do all that stuff to my family he did it to God, and if God can forgive him, who am I not too. You see he doesn't care or even know how it effects me, he is going on about life with out a worry in the world. So right now I am forgiving him, and myself for holding on to this for so long. Because I need forgiveness  too. Psalm 51 is all about forgiveness.  My favorite verse is 10-13 10:   Crea

The Power of Prayer

What is the Power of Prayer? "True prayer is neither a mere mental exercise nor a vocal performance. It is far deeper than that--it is a spiritual transacton with the Creator of Heaven and Earth" (Charles Spurgeon). Just what is the Power of prayer? How does prayer comfort, heal, restore? Why do we pray for our spouses, children for protection. How can praying make an impact? How can it change lives of those who don't know Jesus? The answer is simple, In Matthew 18:18-20, Jesus tells us about the power of prayer. "Truly, I say to you whatever you  bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you,  if two or three of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or more are gathered in my name there I am among them." I think if we realized just how much power we have when we pray we would do it more often. It is our fiercest weapon ag

Give Thanks

"I will thank you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing Praises to your name, O Most high." (Psalm 9:1-2) God takes great pleasure in receiving our thanks. He loves to hear from us. Talk to Him. Tell Him everything that is on your heart. He understands, He cares so deeply about everything that concerns us and wants to meet our needs. How great is His love for us. How awesome is His deeds. Let's be thankful to Him and bless His name. God is good and His mercy endures forever. "...your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow  will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today. (Mat. 6:32-34) We need to stop and give thanks to God for all He has given us. We are blessed. Everything we want may not be i

Judgement, how quick do you judge?

We constantantly  form an opinion of others,, how they look are they pretty, handsome, skinny, fat, pimple face, what the heck is she/he wearing don't they own a mirror. I know I can be pretty brutal, for which I must repent and ask forgiveness on a constant basis. I'll  give you an example: after doing yard work for hours I asked my husband if we could swing through Burger king, sure but we are going in I like to see who is making my burger. Well we stood at the counter for a bit, the girl behind the counter looked at us and ignored us, then finally after about 5 minutes she finally asked what we wanted, so my husband told her, didn't ask if we wanted cheese on it or a drink, but ok.. so as we wait some more a young man asked if we we were helped, yes thank you. Then order is ready and she kinda blops it down, by then my anger was rising, so I just grab and go.... My husband looks at me and says you know babe your attitude wasn't any better then hers. Boy was he right

THE ARMOR OF GOD

Happy Sunday! Today I would like to talk about the armor of God. Eph. 6:10 Now my beloved ones I have saved theses most important truths for last. Be supernaturally infused with the strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. STAND victorious with the FORCE of His explosive  power flowing in and through you. Is. 59:17 He covered himself with goodness ( put on righteousness) like armor (a breastplate) He put the helmet of salvation on his head (1 Thes. 5:8, Eph. 6:13-17) He put on his clothes for punishing ( garments of vengeance ) and wrapped himself in the coat of his strong love. (Zeal/jealousy as a cloak) We need to put on the full armor of God, so we will be protected when we come against the evil of the accuser. Because we are not at war with humans but the highest principalities of the spiritual realm operating in rebellion-supreme powers of darkness. PUT ON THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD BELT: of truth gives confidence against the onslaught  of error BREASTPLATE: of righteousn

SERVE ONE ANOTHER

"THROUGH LOVE SERVE ONE ANOTHER" Galatians 5:13 What is your least favorite housekeeping task? Mine is cleaning the bathrooms, ugh!! Don't get me wrong I love a clean bathroom, how it sparkles when your done. If it would just stay that way, wouldn't  it be great. Well God likes a clean house also, he wants us to be pure and clean and sparkly too.  For we are the temple of the Holy Spirit an extention of God so to speak. He wants us to be his vessels to reach others with his word. He is not here to walk around to teach so he uses us to do that. Are you a willing vessel? I want my Father in heaven to use me for His glory. God works through us to lift the spirits of those around us. The Lord created us with an emotional and relational need for human contact. Nothing can hearten like the hug from a caring person. (Patsy Clairmont) Lord Jesus please forgive me of all my sins make me brand new fill me with your Holy Spirit I will live for you all the days of my life. For

GOD'S WILL

Let's talk about God's will. Isaiah 53:6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away, We have left God's  paths to follow our own. (NLT) A bad decision could have a shattering effect on our lives, made at the wrong time. Do you ever wonder where you stand with God? It is so important that we find God's  will for our life. He knows what is best for us. "For I know the plans I have for you" says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) When you are in God's  will it's like being in the center of the river, it flows the strongest. His guidance is most sure , when you start to drift away from his center things start moving slower, so His protection becomes weaker. Draw near to Him and he will draw near to you. I don't know about you but I want and need God near to me all the time. Life is just to hard to do alone. "Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crysta
