The Power of Prayer

 What is the Power of Prayer?

"True prayer is neither a mere mental exercise nor a vocal performance. It is far deeper than that--it is a spiritual transacton with the Creator of Heaven and Earth" (Charles Spurgeon).

Just what is the Power of prayer? How does prayer comfort, heal, restore? Why do we pray for our spouses, children for protection. How can praying make an impact? How can it change lives of those who don't know Jesus?

The answer is simple, In Matthew 18:18-20, Jesus tells us about the power of prayer.

"Truly, I say to you whatever you  bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you,  if two or three of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or more are gathered in my name there I am among them."

I think if we realized just how much power we have when we pray we would do it more often. It is our fiercest weapon against the enemy.

God almighty can do all things; nothing is impossible for Him (Luke 1:37) When we pray, God whispers, is there anything to hard for me? No need is to small.

God wants us to pray, talk to Him. (James  1:5), (Luke 18:1), . (Phil 4:6), (Matt 6:10), (James 5:16).

He answers our prayers when we cry out to Him (Psalm 17:6)

John 16:23-24, "Truly,Truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name he will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."

 How can we tap into the power of prayer

1 John 5:14-15 " This is the confidence we have in calling out to God; that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us, whatever we ask we know that we have what  we asked of Him.

Wow see how easy it is to talk to God, just say what's on your heart He will listen, He is just a whisper away.

Remember  Jesus loves you, he will never leave you or forsake you.

RECEIVING GOD'S LOVE

 I have learned that pain has purpose, which at the peak of excruciating discomfort, brings me little consolation.  Hindsight, though, has often proven pain's value. In fact, I have found pain to be one of life'so most effective teachers. It gains one's  full attention. It takes lessons down to the bottom line.
